Jess began his real estate career in 1991 as a Sale Associate at a small West-Michigan brokerage while still earning his Bachelor of Science degree in finance, economics, and international business from Central Michigan University. His degree also included international business and economics concentrations from Manchester Business School, Moscow School of Business, and the University of Exeter, England. Jess earned his MBA degree from Florida State University, which includes a concentration in real estate finance and analysis.

After moving from Michigan to Florida in 1994, Jess expanded on his real estate industry experience by entering the mortgage and banking industry. Jess has held various management and executive-level positions at prominent financial, banking, and mortgage lending institutions. In 2001, he decided to open his own unique venture; HomeSense® Realty. Over the years, HomeSense® Realty grew to operate from 100 offices in 11 states, and has successfully delivered a premium real estate experience to thousands of customers.
